Open on weekends throughout October, The Crow Haven Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch is a must visit for the family. Everyone easily found hours worth of entertainment with all of the varied things to do.
Our first stop was the train ride, which takes it's passengers around the grounds, then through the corn field, and back again. Rodney was an entertaining conductor and the ride was a hit with my daughter who demanded she get to ride again before we left.
My daughter was a little nervous about the corn field maze, worried that we would get lost. I had to explain that the purpose of a maze is to get a little lost and then find your way back out, while in my mind I figured it would be like most corn mazes, so simple I would have to act like we were lost just to create a little suspense. Turns out this maze is huge, and there were a few moments when I realized that we were, in fact, lost. So, suspense created. They created a maze worth navigating.
Every hour came the explosion sounds of a pumpkin being hurdled through the air for a thousand feet. The Chunkinator was on hand to impress the crowds with it's pumpkin throwing awesomeness. It does pretty well with blowing up rolls of toilet paper too.
There was also the bouncy house, tall slides, great food, a variety of games, and the corn sandbox.
A fun afternoon which I would recommend to anyone.
