Night at the Museum
"Honoring Our Veterans", the first in a series of Night at the Museum events, will be at 7 pm on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Cheyenne County Museum.
Military artifacts, old news articles, uniforms, and other historic military information will be on display on tables throughout the museum. Visitors are encouraged to walk through the museum and view the Medal of Honor display case, the military academy displays, the military corner with uniforms, photos and memorabilia, guns from the Indian War era, and a rusted Civil War bayonet.
"On the Home Front During WWII" a power point researched and created last year by students in Jeff Beims' US History class will play continuously. There will be a historical "show and tell" time, so bring any military-related items to display that evening. This informal event is free and open to everyone. Come. Learn. Discuss.
All veterans who attend will receive a complimentary Cheyenne County Veterans book.
