The 2020 Census counts every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories.

The count is mandated by the Constitution and conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, a nonpartisan government agency. The 2020 Census counts the population in the United States and five U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands). Each home will receive an invitation to respond to a short questionnaire—online, by phone, or by mail—between March 12-20.

Why We Conduct This Count

The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and your community. Every year, billions of dollars in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data.

The results of the census also determine the number of seats each state will have in the U.S. House of Representatives, and they are used to draw congressional and state legislative districts.

It's also in the Constitution: Article 1, Section 2, mandates that the country conduct a count of its population once every 10 years. The 2020 Census will mark the 24th time that the country has counted its population since 1790.

Counting Everyone

Participating in the census is required by law, even if you recently completed another survey from the Census Bureau. A complete and accurate count is critical for you and your community, because the results of the 2020 Census will affect community funding, congressional representation, and more.

After seeing the 4-28-17 video of the object moving across the moon, @ http://www.latest-ufo-sightings.net/2017/04/ufo-caught-moving-across-moon-baffles-viewers.html it reminded me of a similar video I had shot on 10-22-14 north of St. Francis, KS at sunset. If it wasn’t for that post I wouldn’t have posted this—however both videos to me look as if they are related somehow???

Cosmic Bowl at the Cheyenne Bowl has never rocked as hard as it did tonight. 9ine Foot Squirrel performed a live set which included many of their original songs, mixed in with classic covers.

Everyone had a great time during this all-ages event. The music was loud and fast, the food was delicious, the beers went down way too fast, and the kids spent the night dancing and chasing each other around the venue, a good time was had by all.

What the hell is pesto, and how do you make it?
I have read that pesto is meant to be a salad dressing, and it is a wonderful salad dressing, but I tend to use it for much more. With ingredients like basil, garlic, and olive oil, pesto is delicious on meats, i use it when cooking vegetables, potatoes, I put a smear on breads before melting cheese over it, quesadillas, just about anything, except maybe ice cream, but that is just because I haven't tried it yet. I exaggerate, but it truly is yummy.

One of the beauties of pesto is that yo

The Republican River after a heavy rain
The day after a heavy rain of more than 2", my daughter and I decided to go down to the River Walk to check on how the river was doing after Mother Nature decided to fill it back up. The river was wider in many places, and faster. In several places we could hear the water bubbling around newly fallen limbs and underbrush which the water's edge hadn't reached in some time. Areas which we had sat and played last year were now completely under water. Everything had a fresh, wet smell.
